Welcome to "The City"

MTV welcomes the spin off to their reality show The Hills with a show that has a very familiar concept with the The City. Quiet girl Whitney Port leaves Hollywood for the fast paced world of New York City, where she has a new job with fashion guru Diane Von Furstenburg, new friends, and a completely new atmosphere. Already she's found a new hottie, a friends from two different groups (the Socials and the Hippie crew), and an amazing new apartment. It seems like Whit has a great future ahead of her in the Big Apple!

Along with dealing with the death of his 16 year old son, John Travolta is also forced to deal with an extortion case. Bahamian officials confirmed that police are investigating a plot to extort the family. Officials have been very scarce on details however family attorneys, Mike Ossi and Howard Butler stated that they will not let these greedy individuals get away with their false claims.

OBAMA!! YES WE DID...now let's party!!!

On January 20th, America made history as the nation's first African American president was elected into office. The promises of change and a better tomorrow was heard by over one million people Tuesday afternoon as Barack Obama placed his right hand on the Bible and made a vow to America. Although that day held an important event in history, the real party came afterwards. The first coupke had a long night ahead of them as they attended 10 inaugural balls. Celebrities poured in to celebrate the induction of one of the most popular presidential elects. Mariah Carey hit the stage in a beautiful black gown as she performed "Hero" at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball, Jennifer Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony chit chatted with Vice President Joe Biden and newly married couple Beyonce and Jay-Z attended the ceremony and brought hip hop mogul, P. Diddy along. The star studded parties were definitely the place to be Tuesday night and although Obama may have been tired from partying, he was up bright and early to begin his first day as President of the United States.

J. Hud's Back on the Scene

Three months after the murder of her mother, brother, and seven year old nephew, actress and singer Jennifer Hudson is back in the spotlight. Hudson is scheduled to make her first performance since her family tragedy as she sings the national anthem at the SuperBowl which will take place on February 1st. Just days after her SuperBowl honor, Hudson is scheduled t0 perform the songs of Neil Diamond at the Musicares Person of the Year Gala. It's good to see that Hudson, who has been in seclusion since her family's deaths, is recooperating and re- entering the entertainment scene. She was really missed! I can't wait to see what J. Hud has in store for her fan in 2009.
